I decided this year I was going to attend as much of the Advanta as I can. Anyone else planning on attending? Also, could Those Who Know (Wendy? Robert?) shed some light on how attendance at qualifiers works? Do I need tickets? Is it at the same venue, or will they eventually post more information on the website? Thanks in advance.

Robert?) shed some light on how attendance at qualifiers works? Do I need tickets? Is it at the same venue, or will they eventually post more information on the website? Thanks in advance. Every tournament is different in the way it handles qualification. Some let you in free. Some sell tickets. Some let you in free for qualifying if you buy a ticket for main draw. A few don't allow spectators at qualifying. (Yes, it happens.) You'll have to see what the tournament's particular rules are. If it doesn't cost too much, I would certainly try to attend qualifying. You get to see a lot of p_layer_s you'll never see anywhere else.... BTW

The Web site is hideous, but from my experience last year you shouldn't have any trouble rolling up and getting tickets for the first few days. However: any session where Lisa Raymond is playing will sell out, and the evening sessions with top stars will too. I assume it's the same venue, which is the pavilion at Villanova University

Your hometown, you say? Can I sleep in your back yard? Sure. I can't offer anything posher, though: it's a small place, and the dog hair takes up much of the room. Plus you'd have to rassle the hair's original owners for a spot on the couch... I *will* treat to dinner, though, if you'll allow. Very kind. Last year I was staying with a friend in Trevose, which entailed a 1 1/2-2hr commute each way every day; at night the trains just miss each other and one night it took me 2 1/2 hours to get back. I have another friend living in Philly now, and I'm hoping he's amenable and lives closer. So your backyard was really just to know I had somewhere to go if I missed the train. wg
