Education only works if people are willing to gather in the classroom and pay attention. You can also educate people that they *shouldn't* click on a _link_ in an email message, but enter the address of paypal manually in a new browser window. And set up an email account they use for paypal only, nothing else, etc. Yes, there would probably be some people who give the wrong answer, but most of them who give an answer would probably give the right one. Again, probably doesn't count. I am afraid that in a real test, some people know the answer, most don't, and they guess, so that's 50/50. And hence it wouldn't amaze me if the outcome of such a test would be 60/40, with most part of the 60 just guessing right. We have different opinions on this subject. But I am sure mine is right. I doubt if I ask 50 of my friends what's more secure http or https that most of them will give the right answer. You often have this attitude that you think that you are the one who is right and that is one reason why I am not interested to discuss with you on the subjects in which you think you are right but my opinion is still different from yours.

Usenet means also that users are   allowed to decide whom they want to have in their killfile. Of course. But I always consider it very stupid to put people in your kill file because they have a different opinion. Especially if those people have a firm understanding of what they're talking about. I do not mind what you think. You may think what you want.

If brucie finds out about this accusation you are going to have a very sore ass. I thought it sounded like strange suggestion said to be coming from brucie - however IF he had suggested it, I imagine there was a reason or he meant temporarily (if brucie was serious at all if/when sharing this suggestion).
