Greetings all, I had sod put down in our yard about a month and a half ago, and the lawn looks ready to be cut. A couple of questions regarding cutting the grass and general lawn care: 1. What is the general rule on cutting the grass when it's wet? Should I or shouldn't I? I have purchased a mulcher and intend on leaving the clippings in the lawn. I have heard that cutting the grass when it's wet is not a good idea. I would like some opinions on this. 2. Our grass is Bermuda grass, and it seems that the grass that spends more time in the shade has grown faster than the grass that gets more sun. I feel that I am watering evenly, but it just seems to grow faster in the more shady sections. I water twice a week, 1/2 hour each zone. Is this too little watering? Too much watering? 3. And finally, before our sod was laid down, I had prepared the soil (e.g. thick clay) and leveled the yard out. Now, there are sections in our yard that seem to have dropped , and I have a hilly yard. We live in Dallas, TX and had some good thunderstorms last part of March and early April. I am guessing that this caused some valleys in our yard. How can I repair this? Can I just lay down some more soil? Do I have to be careful not to kill the grass? I thank you in advance for any help or advice. I've been reading this newsgroup, and there are many knowledgeable people in here.
