To anybody thinking of using IRIS payroll software - known as IRIS paye master - our advice is think again. 22 Minutes on the support line today folllwing a crash, and hung up after 22 minutes with no answer from IRIS.  In that time it was possible to uninstall and re-install the software + restore backed up data - which it seems was a easier solution than getting support. Also beaware they have recntly put in place a new licensing system -  badly designed and implemented.  It only allows you to licence the software if all the paramaters are correctly entered in the licence box from the paper licence they send you - problem is the paper licience they send has errors in it, which you do not know about till you call them in desparation! I have previously written to the MD who doesn't seem to give a fig. When the software was owned by Freeway it was good value and reliable.  It is now expensive, unstable and poorly supported. Avoid.
