MXC is currently shown on Spike TV , MXC stands for Most Extreme Elimination Challenge. From what I recall the show was real in Japan, it was brought over to the US and dubbed with American voices who made up names for the contestants and de_script_ions of what they do for a living, fun. I thought the I Survived a Japanese Game Show was ok, I agree it was a little slow out the gate but as these fish out of water Americans come to grips that this is the show they signed up to do (the premise was they had no idea what or where they were going), it should be more fun. Especially if they focus more on the game show than the housing arrangements and related bickering. What bickering? The contestants for this show didn't seem like the usual drama queens and famewhoring assholes one sees on most reality shows...

The ones who went the furthest were the go-go dancer (I didn't know they still had those), the cop, the jazz dancer and the funny black guy, can't remember what his nickname was....weren't they? What bickering? The contestants for this show didn't seem like the usual drama queens and famewhoring assholes one sees on most reality shows... Give them time. The claws will come out...there was a hint of that last night when they were deciding who to pit against each other for the elimination challenge. I don't know the names yet but the girl with the long brown hair and the expressive eyebrows definitely seems like a rabble-rouser. True, but I didn't see any obvious reality show archtypes in the first ep, with the possible exception of the Jersey Girl who took her sweet ol' time preparing for rickshaw duty.
