Hello everybody, My bills are totaling $1,300 and the mechanics around here still say they cannot find the problem. My problem is with idling. The car starts fine, but if I do a lot of stop and go (as opposite to highway) every time I stop, the car idles rougher and rougher, like it's choking, until it eventually turns off. I can restart it, but eventually, it will die and not restart any more. The starter turns, I've got electricity, but it will restart and die after three seconds. If I ride with electrical appliances on (A/C, radio) the whole process happens much faster. Sometimes this happens with the check engine light on, sometimes it's off, but it still happens. They have changed: - battery - Exhaust vacuum pipe - distribution+spark plug cables (tune-up) - alternator+voltage regulator (internal to alternator) - idle air valve - cleaned throttle control - fuel pump relay they checked the computer codes, they tapped on everything in sight, but nothing. so they just told me, when it stops, have it towed here, and maybe we'll find out. any ideas anybody ? piero Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.
