Ahhhhh, New York. I'll be there in November. There is no city like it. AND, there are lots of things free. A walk through Central park, a tour of Time Square, the most fantastic library in the world. A rich array of Art Galleries from 5th Ave, to Soho. I like to sit on a park bench and watch people and there are hundreds passing any park bench any time of day, any day of the week. I take notes of what I see each trip. The last trip, a car stopped in the middle of busy traffic. The driver laid back the seat and took a nap for 35 minutes as I watched in disbelief as car honked and went around him. It didn't phase the man at all. Another walked by me with a German sheppard with a chain around the dog, up through a briefcase and around the man's neck to a handcuff on his other arm. I casually said, Why are you wearing the sign,kill me, kill my dog and the world is yours! He was not amused. So, the best things in life whether NYC or Open switch, Iowa are FREE. Postcards that are free are at Hotels, Restraunts, alternative (gay/lebian) book shops and in phone booths. Open your eyes and you will see them being handed out at perfume counters in Bloomingdales and other major department stores or even just handed to you as part of a literature pack on the street. It certain areas, the prostitutes even hand out cards but that is in Holland. Good luck on your quest for cards. Susan Brown Nicholson
