live deal EBgames XBox Live deal, should I go for it?  
    12 months on Xbox Live, Mech Assault and either PGR2, Counterstrike or Crimson Skies for $70.  Can anybody think of why I should wait any longer to get on Live?  I'm having a hard time thinking about it, I've been offline this whole generation, and that's really the only new thing it's got going..... Scott

get on Live?  I'm having a hard time thinking about it, I've been offline this whole generation, and that's really the only new thing it's got going..... Scott Take the deal no matter what the cost.Xbox live is the best fun i have ever had on a console ive had it 3 months and havent missed a night yet.It brings a whole world of fun to your xbox.V8 super cars,Rainbow six and counter strike would keep you busy online for months.Dont miss out any longer just join up.Its worth every penny.

this whole generation, and that's really the only new thing it's got going..... Scott Take the deal no matter what the cost.Xbox live is the best fun i have ever had on a console ive had it 3 months and havent missed a night yet.It brings a whole world of fun to your xbox.V8 super cars,Rainbow six and counter strike would keep you busy online for months.Dont miss out any longer just join up.Its worth every penny.     I like to pick games up for 30 minute intervals, at odd times though. Am I going to have to schedule time, and/or spend excessive amounts of time, in order to get my money's worth out of Live?  If I can just load up stuff like Mech Assault, PGR 2 or Crimson Skies and play against human opponents in relatively little time, and quite when I like (i.e. after a level that hopefully doesn't take hours to finish) without burning anybody, I'll jump in happily.

in order to get my money's worth out of Live?  If I can just load up stuff like Mech Assault, PGR 2 or Crimson Skies and play against human opponents in relatively little time, and quite when I like (i.e. after a level that hopefully doesn't take hours to finish) without burning anybody, I'll jump in happily. I just got Live a few days ago, and it's pretty fun playing Crimson Skies. The thing is, starting out not only will you get smoked all the time, but you'll also have to deal with a bunch of mouthy jerks who think because they have a microphone everyone wants to hear what they have to say. Once you find a few good people and put them on your friends list, it gets better. I like to play in spurts as well, and for the most part haven't had any problems finding people to play Skies with. Just be careful when you select quickmatch-a lot of times I get kicked out by the host because they're either waiting for a friend, or have a ranked room that the system puts me into. I've not played any other game on Live yet, so I can't comment on them.

quickmatch-a lot of times I get kicked out by the host because they're either waiting for a friend, or have a ranked room that the system puts me into. I've not played any other game on Live yet, so I can't comment on them. Well, skies was one of the more important ones to me, so that's pretty cool. Thanks for the info. Scott That's a pretty solid deal. Essentially they are giving you a free, really decent game on top of the already excellent Mech Assault. Xbox Live can be a lot of fun. For me, talking to all these people that I've chatted with via usenet has been the biggest kick. Past that, just chatting, in general, has been the best part of Live....not to mention the network that it has setup, and the benefits that already come with it. In short, I'd go for it... Bel
