I have an ISA server, also my internal DNS server, running the VPN service. I have several clients that connect remotely and I have set up a Static Pool for them to use.(10.110.10.0/24) In my internal network I have a class B scope on my DHCP server. 10.110.0.0/16 I have only used 10.110.1.0 - 10.110.3.255 in my addressing. Now for the problem: whenever a user tries to browse the internet with the server name in the address field of the Proxy settings the static pool address is displayed and the user cannot browse the internet. I have seen countless messages regarding this problem and everyone mentions that I should turn off DDNS but no one says where this is or how I can turn it on/off. I really could use some help in this as I have countless users that are experiencing intermitnent problems browsing the web. Thanks in advance for your help. Ray

Personally, the way I do ours is just let the VPN interfaces get the address from DHCP from the same block of addresses right along with all the rest of the LAN users. There is no static pool just for the VPN users. The VPN users also receive from DHCP the same DNS settings, WINS settings, Router address as everyone else on the LAN gets. Everyone is treated the same and they are all happy together without any conflicts.
