I just picked up and IJ and I was wondering which parts I would need to rebuild the pop bumpers to give them back their POP. Thanks for your help!

Replacing the coil sleeves wouldn't be a bad idea.  You might get away with just closing the gaps on the leaf switches.  I like mine as close as possible without causing mis-triggers (usually by one of the other bumpers).  You can test this by tapping on the payfield in the area around the pops. The actual pop bumper ring can cause issues if the posts that extend down to the yolks show any signs of wear.  You might want to do those, as well.  Also, a nicely polished ring makes a world of difference in how fast the ball will come off of them. Fresh wafers (skirts) will make a big difference.  Since the entire assembly needs to be taken apart to do so, you may as well opt for an entire rebuild at this point.  If you're going to do this, you may as well replace the spoon on the switch.  Not sure if you can purchase just the spoon, you may need to purchase the entire switch assembly. Not a bad idea to do the whole thing.  This will greatly improve their sensitivity. May as well do the pop bumper body and _base_ while you're at it. Pick yourself up some of the flat-lead wedge _style_ lamp sockets. Makes it a lot easier than having to deal with the old crap. About the only parts that I've never had to replace is the plunger and _frame_. Pops are the biggest PIA's on a game to have to rebuild.  Good reason to steer clear of any game with more than 3 of them (TAF, WW come to mind).  A game plays sooooo much better with fresh pops. -Gregg B.
