Hello, My name is Andrey Kobyuk, and the resume enclosed here (also it can be found on http://home.nc.rr.com/antont/ak/) concerns my over than 10 years C/C++ experience as well as years of Windows API, MFC, OpenGL and DirectX and more. Also I have good experience with x86 assembler, imaging and video technologies. I worked more than 5 years as a developer, senior software engineer and, finally, as a development manager of HiJaak (http://www.imsisoft.com/special/hijaak/hijaak/direct/v5u/index.cfm) project (first for Inset Systems, Inc., than for Quarterdeck Corp. and IMSI). HiJaak is a tool for format conversion (from/to raster, vector and _meta_file, video and 3D images). So I have good experience in digital imaging, image formats and their processing. Also in this project I used widely COM, ActiveX. I worked with Photoshop's plug-ins (actually, I was developing a host to use the plug-ins). I had to fulfill user interface tasks (using MFC and Win32 API directly for customized UI) as well. Also I took part in Truth project. It's a RPG game _base_d on Genesis3D library. And here are brief de_script_ions of my most recent works: 1) Tulip p_layer_ (http://www.exstream.to) for Planet Blue Corp. I implemented 3D stuff for the IE control. This control shows a speaking head (i.e. animated 3D graphics), and its speech (with sound) is synchronized with movements of mouth, lips, other parts of a model's face. The 3D stuff is _base_d on DirectX (actually, DirectDraw and Direct3D); initially I used 7th version of DirectX, but then, in compatibility purpose, changed to 3rd version. The control is built as ActiveX control, with ATL, it also uses STL alot, as well as MS's internet technologies: wininet, urlmon (URL monikers). 2) PVMaster project (http://www.phantomreality.com/products/PVMaster.htm): the main goal of the project to provide _base_ tools to the VB developer for creation multimedia video files from a set of separate graphic files (as well as IPicture _object_s) and extraction from the video into the separate _frame_s in order to save them as the image files or to render into an application window. Since it's aimed to the VB developer, it's a COM _object_ (+ dispatch interface) _base_d on ATL, and using DirectShow for reading / saving from / to video files (ISampleGrabber.BufferCB, IMemInputPin::ReceiveMultiple). Also the control provides a service for enumeration available codecs (ICreateDevEnum for CLSID_VideoCompressorCategory). 3) Sapphire project (http://www.wellsfargofinancial.com/commercial/tech/) for Wells Fargo Financial. I worked there as a Unisys's contractor. Mostly I carried out C++ development for the 'DCM Performance' task. DCM is a conversion tool to move data from old data_base_s (Oracle7) with old formats to the new ones. So I have to use intensively Persistence API (it's the set of libraries and C++ classes built upon SQL) and STL. At the end, I'd like to clarify one important moment: I am a H1b visa holder. I am not an American citizen. I came from Russia, and I am working under H1b visa permit for Phantom Reality, Inc.
